It was Elijah's first birthday this last friday, the 30th. We didn't really do much(at that age, they don't miss it anyway). We had some friends from church over for a picnic dinner in our yard. Harvey and Diane surprised us by bringing a birthday cake! Elijah loved it(so did his brothers). I think maybe he has taste buds on his cheeks.
My mom will be coming for the weekend, leaving on the 4th, so we're looking forward to a fun time with her.

What a cute picture. I know what you mean...the first birthday is probably more fun for the family than for the baby! I'm sure you got some great pictures for the scrapbook or photo albums, though.

Happy Birthday Elijah! What a fun day. The first birthday is always a great memory. You took the all important cake on the face photo... something fun to look back on in the years to come.
